My Skills

As a senior strategic communications and political science major at the University of Denver, I have developed strong skills in research, critical-thinking, communication, strategy development, copy writing, social media management, and data analysis through my educational and professional experience.

In addition to these skills, I also have a deep understanding of visual media and storytelling through my extensive background in video editing. I have advanced skills in video editing software such as Adobe Premier Pro and Adobe After Effects, as well as experience in color correction, sound design, and motion graphics.

I am passionate about crafting and sharing compelling messages that drive impact and engagement while upholding ethics, justice, and equity. I leverage these skills to help organizations build brand identity, communicate values, and engage with target audiences. I am excited for the opportunity to develop my skills further and make a meaningful impact through the work that I do.

My Story

I was born in raised in Navarre, Florida. Growing up in the panhandle of Florida a lot of my time was spent enjoying the beauty the Gulf of Mexico had to offer. As I grew older I became fascinated with everything and anything creative. My older sister loved to draw and inspired me to find my own interests creatively.

In middle school, I stumbled upon the world of video editing and found myself completely immersed in the possibilities it offered. With a steadfast focus and determination, I honed my skills using Adobe After Effects, tirelessly pushing the boundaries of my creativity with each project.

When the time came to choose a path for higher education, I made the bold decision to venture beyond the familiar shores of my childhood and pursue my passion for creativity at the University of Denver. Leaving behind the sun-kissed beaches for the majestic mountains was a leap of faith, but I knew that embracing new experiences and challenges would only fuel my growth and artistic journey.

My time at DU has been nothing short of transformative. Immersed in a dynamic academic environment, I’ve had the privilege to explore a diverse array of subjects, from video production and photography to rigorous research methodologies. It was here that I realized the power of blending my creative talents with disciplines like political science and strategic communications.

Now I’ve had the time to blend my passion for creativity with my academic pursuits, leveraging my skills in video editing and design to enhance my understanding of political science and strategic communications. Through hands-on projects, internships, and extracurricular activities, I’ve gained valuable experience in crafting compelling narratives, visual storytelling, and strategic messaging.

Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring the vibrant arts and culture scene in Denver, whether it’s attending gallery openings, live music events, or film festivals. I also volunteer with local organizations, using my creative skills to support causes I’m passionate about, such as environmental conservation and social justice.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to continue exploring the intersection of creativity, communication, and advocacy, with the goal of making a positive impact in the world around me. Whether it’s through crafting visually engaging campaigns, conducting research-driven analysis, or collaborating with diverse teams, I’m committed to using my talents to drive meaningful change and inspire others to do the same
